Dr. C. D. Siby was born in Kerala, India, but is now based in Kuala Lumpur. In 1988 he was awarded a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery from Madras University. Although he has a sound understanding of modern medical and paramedical sciences and Yoga, he has chosen to practise Ayurveda and is today the Chief Ayurvedic Physician at Ayur Centre Sdn Bhd.
For many years now, Dr. Siby has been associated with conducting Medical Camps in rural areas of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. In addition, under the guidance of Dr. K. Raja Gopalan (Ayur Director, Amala Cancer Institute, Trichur), he has gained valuable experience and insight into treating cancer, kidney failures and connective tissue diseases.
All these experiences have led to Vaidya Siby and his work being published in several new papers and health journals.
Apart from these, Dr. Siby is the current President of CanSurvive Centre Malaysia Berhad and was given the award of ‘Ambassador of Peace’ by the Universal Peace Federation.
In 2017, Dr. Siby published a book called ‘Knowledge of Life: Tales of an Ayurvedic Practitioner in Malaysia’. The elements of storytelling are used to feature some of the more common diseases among Malaysians. They range from obesity, thyroid disorder, diabetes, drug abuse and alcoholism to depression, cancer, stroke, eczema, psoriasis and subfertility. An enlightening book, Knowledge of Life: Tales of an Ayurvedic Practitioner in Malaysia’ dispels the myths surrounding this ancient medical system.
